About Lauren
I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervisory designation (LISW-S) based in Columbus, Ohio. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Ohio State University and have a background in Art Therapy and Fine Arts, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the Columbus College of Art and Design.
With over 15 years of experience teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness tools, I incorporate these practices into therapy in a way that is accessible and adaptable for all neurotypes. I acknowledge that not all methods work best for all neurotypes and aim to accommodate as best as possible. (I promise I won’t tell you to do yoga or meditate if you hate it!)
As a multiply neurodivergent therapist (meaning, multiple types of neurodivergence in one human), I know firsthand the importance of self-advocacy and ongoing learning. I actively seek out new information and training on neurodivergence to ensure I am providing the best possible care. I try to walk the walk and talk the talk as they say (whoever they are).
When I’m not working with the delightful humans I assist in therapy, I’m a typical ADHD’er doing either a lot of things at once, or curled up on the couch doing nothing! I love learning new things, reading, spending time re-watching comfort shows with my partner, taking hikes with our 3 pitbulls, lifting weights, doing yoga, or hanging out with friends. I’m currently on a quest to find the best egg and cheese sandwich in Columbus.
