Lauren Strawn Counseling LLC

Hello and welcome! I’m Lauren, a therapist providing online therapy in Ohio. I’m glad you found me!

These days it can often feel like everyone else is getting by, while we’re barely keeping up, or like the systems in place weren’t built for our brains and bodies (because they weren’t).

We’re not wired to handle this much stress without support. You deserve to feel better, even when life feels heavy.

I help folks find systems that fit, so they can recover, rest, and thrive again—even in the chaos.

You don’t need to be more productive or to force your brain to do things human brains were not meant to do. We live in a culture that prioritizes a form of hyper-productivity that does not work for any of us.

Most of us need our nervous system to feel safer, not busier.

With over 15 years of work with neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks, I can collaborate with you to build a toolkit to get out of burnout or overwhelm, and stop the cycles before they start.

Reach out and we can get started on your path to feeling more empowered and in control of your life.

Values Statement

As a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervision designation (LISW-S), I follow the NASW Code of Ethics regarding my commitment to social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion in my practice.

I believe therapy is inherently political.

This includes commitment to the well-being, privacy, and autonomy of my clients, as well as promoting the importance of human relationships and community.

I choose not to use generative AI in my practice, and believe that therapists who do should disclose to you if they are.

This ethical responsibility also means I choose to use evidence based practices such as gender affirming care for trans and gender non-conforming adults to guarantee equitable services to the communities I serve.
